The VS Throws App is a subscription based app used to calculate the distance of a throw based on triangulation and shows the results in both metric and imperial units for easy conversion at all meets. You will need internet access to login, but the app functions offline the rest of the time. So, you don't need wifi or cell service to operate it after you have logged in.
This system was designed to help save the official from having to constantly walk in and out of the ring every throw. This makes the meet go faster and saves the official from getting overly tired. And for those who must purchase their own laser equipment, it won't break the bank. Compared to other laser systems: this is faster, more consistent, and less expensive. It is the same principle that the surveyor laser(EDM) uses, just smaller and more affordable. Both systems are based off of the math principles learned in trigonometry, the Law of Sine and Law of Cosine. Please watch the video at the bottom of the page to see how it works.
